Valentine’s Day was yesterday and my son brought home a bunch of sugary treats. As tempted as I was just to eat them, I was more tempted to perfect my Paleo mug cake.

I think the hardest part of being Paleo is desserts. Most of the time they don’t turn out or taste like shit. I’m not joking; it’s like a science experiment in my kitchen. My husband and kids are kind enough to try my disasters. Sometimes they are edible, and sometimes they end up on the floor for the family dog. She eats her turds, so my disasters are her tasty treats.

I don’t give up quickly, so I wasn’t going to let this mug cake defeat me. This chocolate mug cake is super easy to make and requires only six ingredients. All of which should be staples in your household if you live the Paleo life or dabble in eating healthy.

This chocolate mug cake is gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, soy-free, sugar-free, and you can indulge guilt-free.

I always crave sweets after workouts and found this to be my go-to treat.
