Homemade Thick & Chunky Spaghetti Sauce

Made with 100% vegetables and spices; this spaghetti sauce has everything needed to provide your dinner (whatever it may be) with an experience your store-bought jar just can not offer.

 

Naturally free of grains, gluten, dairy, soy, sugar, legumes, and all things processed.

 

If you have picky eaters, this sauce is a great way to sneak vegetables into your kid’s food! I would suggest chopping and dicing as small as you can or throwing your finished batch into a food processor. {Seriously, they will never know}. It will be our little secret.

Homemade Thick & Chunky Spaghetti Sauce

Cook Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 14.5 oz. Tomato Sauce
  • 6 oz. Tomato Paste
  • 2 TBSP EVOO
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 oz. Mushrooms diced
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1 Bell Pepper diced
  • handful Spinach
  • 2 TSP Oregano
  • 1/2 TSP Pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat EVOO in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic, onions, and bell pepper and cook down until onions become soft to touch.

  3. Toss in mushrooms and spinach and stir together.

  4. Add tomato sauce, paste, oregano, pepper, and salt to taste. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes.

Recipe Notes

-If you like your sauce more on the runnier side add in a can of diced tomatoes or add more tomato sauce.
